What a great example of Australia and Australian people to thrust upon Chinese audiences. Murders, cut-throats, wall to wall criminals. I'll bet this trashy effort does wonders for attracting Chinese visitors to Australia.

A wonderful film !
I think Guy Pearce may need to do some promotion here - hardly any cinemas are showing it. Only the Randwick Ritz is showing this in Sydney as far as I know. When I walked out of the cinema people were asking.. why aren't other cinemas showing this!?!?

The film certainly isn't trashy, but the characters are based on trashy people..

It's a film about people who could be very real, not every Australian film can just be beautiful people walking around a gorgeous beach, in a bid to bring in tourists, cinema is about portraying all elements of life, not just the positive ones.
Some of the best Aussie films show a darker side of the country and are certainly not about how many tourists they can bring in but rather about how many interesting stories they can tell and that's a Good thing!
It's good to know the film got promoted in both of the involved countries but it should have been even more highly promoted and shown around the world, everyone making it did a great job and that work should of paid off more.

It Can't rain all the time ;-) xXx
