Will the original Criminal Minds still go on?

I cannot bear to watch Criminal Minds without Shemar Moore or Thomas Gibson but I see that the girl who plays Penelope is leaving Minds to do Criminal Minds suspect behavior. does that mean the original Criminal Minds will go off the air?

god i hope not it's one of my fav shows and the best show on cbs. the 2nd is hawaii five-0. speaking of, i think five-0 is the best new show of 2010. i think it's better than the the event and no ordinary family. i watch both they're good, but not as good as five-0.

I read that this show is just another spin off and not a replacement. So the original Criminal Minds should continue.

reply

Yeah, and I believe I read Kirsten Vangsness is just pulling double duty.

If the original Criminal Minds is still going to be airing then that would mean Penelope Garcia (Kristen Vangsness) must be leaving the show, because this show is a spin off of the original meaning in this show the BAU and the people in it still exist, and she wouldn't be able to be in two units at the same time. So there's no more J'j , Prentiss or Garica, the originally Criminal Minds officially sucks, and this one probably will, it's not the same without the whole team, those actors are what made the show.

Actually if u saw the 2010 episode "The Fight" of the Original Criminal Minds, it was a test to see what people thought it was sort of a spinoff pilot/test where they had both teams working together, both are BAU just different teams sent out of the same office so with this in mind i think Penelope will be on both shows, and that if anything A.J. Cook will end up on the new show as J.J. again, just IMO but with the evidence it seems this will be like CSI:NY or Miami with it being the same basic show but with differences and in the same universe..peace CurtMan2k20

curse this spin off

if ya look at it like i do, CSI new york imo is a way better show then the original csi, i mean it might just be my whole prediliction of cheering on East Coast stuff and swaying my judgement maybe, but alot of my friends agree especially with Greg Sinise as the big star on NY, its the only show with a oscar nominee as the lead star of the credits...Nothing against Laurance Fishburne as hes my cousin in-laws families good friend, but Gary Sinise is a great actor and has proved that on and off since Forrest Gump...Peace as far as the spinoff goes i say give it the first 5 episodes before you just it, as the new show Has Forrest Whitiger, another academy award winner/nominee is the lead on the new show..so i just say give it five episodes thats been my rule since the early 2000s, since alot of tv went in the *beep* until cbs got jerry bruckheimer!

I might agree with you before Sela Ward brought her smiley face to the show. The entire show has gotten less serious, with characters acting goofy like on NCSI. Now I could take it or leave it.

YAAAAAY! Now you go, lady!

Gary or Greg make up your mind.

Either way, (Gary) is not the only oscar nominee. Laurence Fishburne was nominated in 1994 for 'What's love Got to do with it' a biopic on Tina Turner, he played Ike Turner. He has also been nominated for 4 and won 2 emmy awards, and won a Tony.

"and that if anything A.J. Cook will end up on the new show as J.J. again"

Did I miss something? I thought A.J. left Criminal Minds unceremoniously. Why on earth would she agree to return for the spin off given the fact she was canned?

reply

its hollywood, there$$$ always reasons if it benefits both sides

reply

I certainly hope not. Remember, Abby's appeared on some episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles, but NCIS is not going off the air. Much as I like and respect Linda Hunt as an actress, I have a hard time caring about NCIS: Los Angeles, and I fear that CM:SB will be the same.

reply

Garcia is not leaving she is doing both shows playing the exact same role

reply

God I hope the new spin-off will take and KEEP Penelope Garcia. I cringe every single time she opens her mouth. I can't stand her. Saying inappropriately, funny things on a serious show like CM is a great idea, but coming from her pretty much every time she speaks is like nails on a chalkboard. And now that JJ is gone, she will have even more opportunity to try and be clever.I mean, some of the crap that she says takes an annoyingly long time to finish. And they are NEVER funny!!! It always brings the show to a screeching halt. How do the directors of this show not put a muzzle on her?! Playing a unique character is one thing, but the stuff she says is ill-timed and never funny. I hope she leaves for the spin-off because she is my only complaint with CM.

cause its filmed out of sequence silly, dont u realize the magic that is TV/Movies all entertainment? WOW FLMAO

reply

I hope not because this new criminal minds just plain sucks!!!!!!!!
Forest Whitaker no disrespect but come on we can do better than that.

The producers seem to be doing their best to kill off the original "Criminal Minds" Losing JJ was bad, Losing Gideon was even worse and now it appears they are going to eliminate the Emily Prentiss/ Paget Brewster character. Paget is a great actress.

The new "C.M - Suspect Behavior" will not be a replacement to me. Forrest Whittaker is a great actor and I am quite impressed with Matt Ryan and of course I love Kirsten as Penelope.

Someone above mentioned CSI and CSI-NY.. I have always loved CSI-NY especially due to Gary Sinise but also due to the chemistry between the cast. Recently CSI-NY repleced the Stella/Melina character with a new character Jo Danville played by Sela Ward. The new character is rude and arrogant and destroys the chemistry between the characters. CSI-NY is going downhill fast due to lack of character chemistry. Same this will happen with CM-Suspect Behavior except they have never developed any real interpersonal relationships in the first place.
