So bad, it is ridiculous

Unbelievable, what a very very very bad movie.
There is almost too much to mention.

Lets start with just the basics, the storyline.
It is rubbish, a very silly romance just there to glue a bunch of battles together.
The acting is generally atrocious, not just amongst the WW2 military re-enactors who took part for a bit of fun, free catering or a t-shirt, but also the "actors".
It was laughable.

All the time you're wondering what the hell is happening, but also why.

The battles look "ok", of course they do, because in stead of spending some real money, they just took their camera to one of the many WW2 re-enactment battles and got to use decent outfits, guns and vehicles for next to nothing.
If all re-enactors would have done what they should do and ask for some sort of basic payment for their effort.... this movie would not have been made.

The music is rather bad, it is EVERYWHERE, almost all the time, very loud.... till someone speaks and then loud again.

Here on IMDB it says;
"The film was a collaborative effort of current and former Military personnel trying to keep as close to the true history as possibly, with collaboration of many WW2 historical societies, the film boasts a huge array of military hardware, tanks, planes weapons etc. "

In short, they just got a bunch of re-enactors to take part.
And although often they look the part and many know quite a lot about the subject, that doesn't mean you as a producer don't have to do any research.

And it seems nobody in the movie knew ANYTHING about women's uniforms, hairstyles, etc.
Why did the main actress have such big fat red lips?
Seems to me those lips are not natural, they looked silly.
But even worse, when did the German nurses start wearing minidresses?
No stockings, nice practical long heeled poledancer shoes, wild long messy modern style hair....
It was just painful to see how the women looked in this "movie".
Quite understandable if people confuse this movie with a cheap 1970s porn movie, based on how the women looked.

The battle scenes are dodgy as well, they seem like battles just set up to shoot lots of blanks and have some fun, like it often happens at re-enactments.
For instance...
Two girls (one of them has that "HEY I AM IN THE FRENCH RESISTANCE" look) walk up to a checkpoint....
Armed Germans stare at them, they stare back...
The Germans ask for papers... in stead of just giving the germans their papers the girls start slowly walking backwards.... the Germans get suspicious and then the girls grab guns from their handbags and open fire... and get shot.
Really?
The resistance did that?
Was that the special French Resistance Kamikaze group?
In reality these girls would know they needed papers, would just showed them, smiled, walked on.
And even if for some weird reason they had no papers and were afraid their guns might be found, they probably would have found a less subtle way to walk away...
It was silly.

And trying to shoot a Normandy Beach scene with almost no budget?
After it had been done in Saving Private Ryan, did you really expect to make it even look half decent?
No, adding computer game quality special effects won't help either.

And I won't even mention the men with long hair (unauthentic), the mistakes in uniforms, the general mess and sillyness.

In short, if you are interested in WW2 history, don't watch this.
If you like good movies, don't watch this.
If you are involved in re-enactment, DO watch this and learn; this is how it should NOT be done.

Complaining about mistakes is almost as bad as complaining about complaining about mistakes.
