Too politically correct for me

So how exactly is Karl an idiot? Is it because he isn't "tolerant" of other cultures? If so, then he is like most of the rest of the world. It is only liberal white people who feel we all have to be tolerant of each other, but they only enforce this on other whites.

Why is it considered a crime for a British guy to go to China and not want to eat scorpions? I once knew a Korean lady who came to the United States temporarily because her husband was in school here. She was constantly telling white people over here how gross and bland our food is. The white people in response would nod in agreement. I personally thought she was rude, but I kept that to myself. Not only are white people constantly forced to be open to all other cultures, but we are also expected to just accept it when other cultures openly don't like us.

But that is beside the point. When I go overseas, I try to be respectful of the host culture, since it was my choice to visit. But on this show, they make a point of forcing someone to go overseas just because they are "judgemental" of other cultures while staying in their own country. And of course Ricky had to remind us before Karl got sent to China that " their civilization is older than our's" as if we don't hear that enough. If you look at Greek civilization, that statement isn't entirely true and older doesn't always mean better. But how dare I as a white person, say anything positive about Western Civilization.

Not only that, but the stuff they force Karl to do is cruel and not funny in any way. I am adventurous when I go overseas, but I wouldn't want to trek for days on a camel through a hot dessert. I wouldn't want to eat bugs in China. I wouldn't want to have to defecate with no privacy. I wouldn't want to be forced to wrestle in an outfit that lacks modesty in front of a stadium. The only part where I cringed at Karl was when he made that awful meal for that king in Africa. I can't believe that that part was even real. It had to have been scripted and planned.

The worst parts were when they forced him to bungee jump. He is obviously terrified of it, so why keep forcing it on him? The bungee jumping scenes that took place in Vanuatu and South Africa looked downright deadly. I was cringing when he was going up that elevator to the top of those African towers. The bungee jumping in New Zealand looked terrifying but I doubt it would have killed him. But if Karl would have said anything to Ricky about how the African equipment didn't look safe, he would have gotten a pc lecture on tolerance.

But if things weren't bad enough, they had to send a dwarf on Karl's trips in Season 3. It sickened me how the dwarf was portrayed as the smarter one between the two. Of course he was the smarter one....he was the one getting pampered the whole. The scene where Ricky fussed at Karl for putting the dwarf in the balloons, disgusted me. The dwarf wasn't in any danger and Karl had been forced to do far more dangerous things. Then the whole lecture on exploitation with the spider sisters sickened me too. The spider sisters obviously enjoyed their job. And of course Ricky and the dwarf focused on Karl being exploitative but nothing was mentioned about the Indians who were behind the whole set up in the first place.

I might turn on Netflix again when they decide to stop broadcasting shows that make fun of normal white men.
