So what are the lessons? What have we learned?

(I am nearly sure this topic has been posed dozen of times)

I love the show! I became a fan instantly, my gf showed it to me. I have seen all three seasons and since this is show is all three seasons (as opposed to a board for each season) I have some questions of opinion for each season. I hope you'll all answer them and please quote the questions so that we can all see.

I ask that you add a question of your own.

Q: What have we learned in all three seasons?

Season 1. All the wonders of the world aren't really what's shown on TV/brochures online and the areas JUST off the tourist area are really *beep* however that's likely true for all tourist things

Season 2. All the things you've wanted to do aren't really that fun. When Karl was at the North Pole and saw the highest point on Earth and there was just debris, whale carcasses, people needing honey buckets since there is no toilet at home, and you use ice for wipe your arse. The Trans-Siberian Railway was tons of tundra and nothing to see. Helping people in Africa while they do nothing

Season 3: Ricky and Steve are complete jerks (even more so) giving Karl what he's used to and Warwick Davis excellent hotels

Q: Favorite moments

Season 1: Karl is abducted by Mossad in Israel on a training mission, TOTALLY by surprise (surprisingly cool under pressure---perhaps he is a little too cool ;)

Season 2: Without a doubt---HIPPO in HOUSE!!!!!

(My links never seem to work, you'll likely need to cut and paste)

Season 3: Karl, now the veteran traveler, literally gets to stick it in the face of Warwick Davis and stick it to Ricky and Steve that he's okay with the Chinese cuisine as he's had it before and now Warrick Davis is terriably uncomfortable and Karl wins in a landslide.
