Poor grammar in the title

They should fire whoever came up with the title and/or approved the marketing. Are there no editors to check this? "We the People" doesn't make sense.

Do they mean: "We, the People"? (Note the comma separating the clauses.)

Or do they mean: "We Are the People"? (Note the verb.)

Either way, the omission of a small bit of punctuation or word renders the title silly and meaningless.

But perhaps that's the point...? Make it as intelligible and corrupt as some feeble-minded fools speak. They might have instead called it: Um, Like We the People. I understand ignorant kids speak like this sometimes, but it's not a good reason to reinforce the practice. Ignorance should be highlighted and corrected, not condoned and legitimized.

The curlicue above the "e" in "We" is not a comma added later but a calligraphic decoration (you can see another curlicue under "People"). One likelihood is that they abandoned the comma in the three opening words to make it look bolder and more unified visually.

I think the writers meant to imitate "We the People" by writing "We the Party." They didn't pay attention to the grammar because of the verbographic precedent. Not the best title, but I've heard worse.

This whole movie just screams of trying to appeal to the most ignorant lowest common denominator.
