The Sweetest Scene! <3

Hi people who have watched the movie.

I've watched it twice (and probably gonna watch again), it's so very lovely. It's like a mixture of so many perfections that sewn into one movie. There are a lot of scenes I love in this movie, like the bike scene in the ending, or the "accidental" kiss, or when Leo's grandma told him about his love story, even when Leo's having a fight with his parents. But, what do you think is the sweetest scene?

Mine is the scene when Leo and Gabriel were having a lunch (before the cinema scene) and then the order came, the lemon juice (or so) composition is different for both. Gabriel changed his for Leo's because it seemed that his had more "lemon" in it, I'm not sure it's because of that or what, but I guess it is. And that's so sweet since Leo can't see it but he did so.

So, what's yours? :D

I think they had ordered different drinks and they were served incorrectly.

Hello Vivaldi!
It was sweet moment that Gabriel admitted wanting to know what ringtone Leo stored for his calls.

Now you mention about it, I just realized it's so sweet. :3

When Leo announced to his Grandmother that his friend Gabriel was at the door, there was this shining look on his face and such a spirit in his voice. That was sweet. Also, the look on his grandmother's face as Leo headed to the door was so nice. She seemed happy that Leo was excited to join with his friend.

You know what, about the scene with "the look on grandma's face", it's very ambiguous for me. But a lot portion of me thinks that she's happy that Leo has another friend to look after him besides Gi. The scene comes after Leo told her that he's going to work and stuffs. I think Grandma knows that Leo's struggling on something in his teenage time, but seeing that Leo lights up when he's with Gabriel, she's happy about it. But yeah, grandmas are the best, right? :D

There were only two scenes with granny. There's always a connection between what Leo thinks/feels and what both of them are talking about.

1. Where Leo asked her about his mom moving out. This gave his grandma an idea of what Leo was thinking of that moment, that he also wanted to move out and experience independence.

2. Where Leo asked her about granny's love story. This gave an impression of Leo being in love at that moment, too. So I assume that his granny knows that it's about Gabriel, especially when she saw Leo's face when Gabriel arrived to pick him up. :D

And her love story was adorable, it could be another short movie. Hehe. :)

Excellent points.

My take on his grandmother is she was very observant, and she could tell how happy Leo was at Gabriel's arrival. She seemed to be putting the pieces together. Certainly there was no alarm in her face, as much as recognition of the situation.

I watched the movie again, and now my fave sweet moment between aleo and Gabriel is when they had their first dance. Haha! ;-)

I really hope there's a sequel for this! Lol.

And reading that you're listening to Belle & Sebastian, I do it now too! :D

For me it was the moment when he says "If you had ever stolen a kiss from someone, how would you give it back?" What a great line!
