Will the lack of an 18 certificate kill it?

The film is rated 15 in the UK. It strikes me that anyone who would be enticed by a title like that would be put off by the rating, expecting an 18 certificate.

Err no, why do you say that? Was Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead rated 18? Nope, and they were both equally great comedy horrors.

Yeah but Hot Fuzz and SOTD didn't have strippers in the title, this will probably be another Lesbian Vampire Killers.

reply

Where was the supposed horror in HOT FUZZ?

reply

It just can't be what it's supposed to be and get a 15 rating.

They should have just had someone shouting *beep* over and over near the end of the titles, then they would have had to get an 18 :P

No T&A = No Watch

Its called Werewolves vs Strippers(or vice versa) for chrissakes!!1!one!1

I want BUSH!!!

reply

Agreed, sounds like a total cop out!

If you're gonna have strippers in the title, have 'em strip!!

reply

You can have nudity in a 15.

reply

There is... 2 pair and only in the first half. None in the second.
If this had more actual strippers and was made a comedy it would have been passable as a B movie.

This is unintentional C comedy movie at best.

They did have someone shouting *beep* for quite a while at the start though...

It was rated 18 on Syfy recently, and Syfy usually cut alot of scenes in most horror movies, particularly militant when it comes to nudity too

reply

It died at the box office because it wasn't a really funny film, though it tried to be. Adding more T & A to it wouldn't have added a great deal to its box office appeal IMO.🐭
