Why did Josh Hutcherson sign onto this?

This movie is the epitome of nonsensical randomness, nonstop references, silliness and over the top performances. This film has too much style, tries to be overly witty and barely has any real substance. For awhile it's a bit comedically entertaining to see how bad it is, then it just gets tiring and tedious to watch.

I just can't believe that Josh Hutcherson, who I watched this film in the first place for, signed onto this mess. This could have badly halted his career before it even started to truly blossom, seeing how awful the movie is and how hard it flopped at the box office. He's lucky he went from this POS to doing great work in the adaptation hit, The Hunger Games.

I loved this movie. Watched it 3 Times so far. I love the banter back and forth. Definitely a cult classic!

Agree with the original poster! Anyone who actually thinks this movie is clever or has good dialogue is either 12-14 years old and has no concept of what cool really is, or is mentally deficient.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just like your opinion, man.

How about not pointing out your own shortcomings, genius and enjoy the film for what it is, not what you or the OP expect it to be.
