Cigarette ends.....

Did anyone wonder why they chose not to bring the cigarette ends to life in the junkie's house? Maybe cigs are 'alive' until they are smoked? Maybe it was an anti smoking decision? Both these thoughts crossed my mind. Just a little detail but interested to hear if anyone else wondered this.....
