Enjoyable, but Really Needs to Give the Viewer More Credit

Yes I understand that this is a cartoon about talking hot dogs, and not "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy", but it is also an R-Rated satire and I feel certain things were literally spelled out for the perceived thickness of the audience:

The Singing Meatloaf should not have been in a box labelled "Meatloaf." We could figure it out without that.

After the Douche makes the relish/mustard/ketchup pun and the end, they did not need to then show us a relish, mustard and ketchup reacting. If you did not get that joke right away, you should not be watching this film.

"This beat is sick." The line/pun was great....until it was then literally explained/spelled out.

The puns were not the joke. The joke was the Douche getting mad when the foods took him literally.

If he said "this beat is sick" and they did not show a beet no one would make that connection. And though it was obvious where he was heading with the ketchup, relish and mustard joke, not showing the foods would have given no payoff to the running gag.

Yes, after "This beat is sick." they of course should have shown the beat reacting, saying "No, actually I feel great", but that should have been the end of that joke right there. Instead Douche has to say something along the lines of "NO! Not you! The music!" to literally spell it out, because they assume their target audience isn't bright enough to get it without it being completely spelled out. The labelled singing meatloaf is further proof of this.
