Vulgar do not equals funny

Plenty of vulgar stuff is hilarious. The South Park movie was a great example. This just look dump. How long Rogen & his crew ride this D&F joke train?

This is going to fail big time! you can feel it.

reply

I doubt that...

I hope it flops but with such a low budget,i doubt it will.

reply

I don't like when something is gross, I like when something is funny and just happens to be disgusting (like this movie).

But don't you get it? The sausages are like penises and the buns are like vaginas!

I think this film will do quite well. It ranks 100 on RT. I realize it's a small sample size(9 out of 9 Critics all give it a red tomato)....It feels authentically inappropriate and funny.

Funny you mention the South Park movie (which I loved btw) because many reviews are comparing Sausage Party to being as good as it.

reply

Which it is not.

There is nowhere near the level of satire and balanced wit.

This is banal and preposterous.

reply

I'm not disagreeing with you, but seeing as how the movie is not out yet I was just wondering if you've seen it yet?

reply

I'm disappointed that there was a sizable audience for this.

SOUTH PARK - B.L.A.U.: 10/10
SAUSAGE PARTY: 6/10

Full disclosure time at the risk of contradicting myself. I laughed pretty hard at yhe South Park movie, but i also wouldn't rewatch it. Now in 2016, i refuse to watch Sausage Fest because it is extremely crude plus the cast has ridden the d!ck & f@rts jokes train entirely too long. Plus, Rogen is just not funny (except for in Knocked Up & 40 Year Old Virgin).
