so Alex(theo) is the twins stepdad?

RBTL is reruning on Centric.
I just watched the ep where the Mom's group is hostile to Carla.
Carla confronts the Asian Mom about her hostility/rudenss and says
"I know how hard it is. I was a single Mom of twins until I married Alex".
I watched the show from the start on 11Oct & they never said alex was stepdad.
So what happ to kaci/keenan's dad?

Yeah Alex is their step-dad, their real dad lives in LA. I think they've been married for 7yrs. I'm guessing the real dad will show up on the show at some point if it continues. I like it, the 1st episode I watch I thought it was way to corny but I watched the marathon last night and I really like it now. Of course its only the 1st season so the writers are working out all the kinks.
