Dead in the Water?

Watched this for the first time Friday.

Centric has a blurb and clips on its website, but not a lot of hype on its Twitter feed. In fact, they have a lot of Tweets about other stars from other networks. Seems like they don't have much faith in their own product.

Tracee Ellis Ross jumped ship long ago. The rest should get their life jackets ready.

The editing was strange, which had to do with the directing. Like in one scene, teen daughter Kaci tells her dad she's going to live with mom and walks out of a room. Then it cuts to someone walking into the kitchen. Standard practice would be to cut to dad reacting to the news his daughter is moving out.

They aren't even doing the bare minimum.

Anna Maria Horsford is doing her best to save it, the grandpa character is working hard in apite of the hack writing, too. Tony Rock's light skinnded stuck up girlfriend storyline was tired.

So this one is as good as dead.

Better luck next time, Centric.
