I'm losing interest in this series

I know many will disagree and it's all good. I loved the first one, I thought it was one of the best games in awhile and I couldn't wait for the second one. When AC2 hit stores, I bought it immediately and beat it within like three or four days, I can't count how many times I restarted the story mode and finished it again. I then got Brotherhood last fall, I thought the story mode was rushed and felt it could've been more interesting but I still enjoyed everything else about it.

Anyway, I don't care for the series' theme about two rival secret societies battling against each other. I think it would be a lot better if the Assassins were like a secret clan of militias that fought against any evil instead of depicting all the bad guys as being part of a particular secret organization. And why is it so hard for Ubisoft to give players an option to remove armor? Ezio looks much cooler on the cover art without the armor. I get annoyed having to constantly repair damaged armor and it just seems unrealistic for an Assassin being able to blend in with the public, he's more like a "hooded knight" instead, it was perfectly fine without armor in the first one. I'm done ranting.

I only have a few issues with this one. 1. The main memories were too short 2. I wasn't too keen on the 50% and 100% sync. concept.

Not sure why you'd want to remove the armour as you reduce your overall health.
One of the things I wonder is why people want more realism to games. The same thing with Call of Duty / Bad Company 2 and people commenting that a range or fire rate "isn't realistic". Games are a fantasy and an escape. Games meant to be fun to play, not necessary realistic or "cool" looking if that comprimises the enjoyment and fun of playing.

They have a Metal Gear Solid Raiden skin. Basically you have your armor on, but it shows him as Raiden.......They also have a Young Ezio skin, which has no armor on. Shows him when he was young and before he became an assassin.

You can get them at Uplay i believe, you get points just by playing the game, its linked with your PSN, just gotta sign up......very very easy.

Story wasnt rushed really, i find it to be well made. It lasted me a while. I play games slowly, i dont rush through them. I like to admire the game itself. I still didnt get 100% on ACB, im at 90% and i got it in December (i took a whole month away from the PS3 so i just got back into ACB a few days ago)

>two rival secret societies battling against each other.
It is slightly cliched, but it could be worse - It could be Ninjas versus the Illuminati, or something!
The story began as one religious sect meddling in the affairs of two other warring religious sects - Assassins trying to manipulate the war between Saracens and Crusaders, which, of the latter, the Templars are a part and seemingly the bigger focus.

In order to continue with Templars as the bad guys of contemporary Catholic Christianity during the Renaissance, they ended up portrayed as the popularly theorised secret society. Not absolutely essential, but a fairly reasonable choice for the skimming level of history we engage with in-game.

>And why is it so hard for Ubisoft to give players an option to remove armor?
It's not, but you need it for the health. I'd rather they included an encumbrance factor when wearing it, so you could choose between speed or protection.

>it just seems unrealistic for an Assassin being able to blend in with the public,
This has been a niggle for me since AC1, but I eventually dismissed it as gameplay fantasy. It was improved in AC2 when you could change the outfit colours, but since Ezio is the ONLY ONE walking around in Altaïr style eagle robes in so-fashionable Renaissance Italy, I'm amazed he's not shot on sight wherever he goes!

>One of the things I wonder is why people want more realism to games.
Realism = Plausibility = Greater immersion in the game.
If something is realistic enough that people readily identify with it, it will work. That's my theory on why games like The Sims are so popular... and why AC has such realistic depictions of historical buildings that you can look at modern day photos and still see the ledges you used to climb the same building in-game.

If it was just about fantasy, why not make the Assassins all unstoppable Jedi-Ninjas? There's only so far you can go away from reality before suspension of disbelief becomes... err... unsuspended. People just don't buy it - Not even for a dollar!

I liked the idea of two socities battling each other, but I would like it if they would have more games from the Templars standpoint. I know that would probably defeat the purpose of the title, but it would be neat to play as a Templar assassin in at least one game.

3, BH, 2 and Black Flag have been the best so far. Revelations and Rogue were disappointing, and the first was ok but repetitive.
