Anyone else wish this was a dramedy? (spoilers)

The family had so many issues that felt like they were entirely glossed over that it was maddening. From Daphne's issues with drugs/ drinking, much less seeming to have some regret about giving up her career to raise a family; Simon trying to deal with what it means to be Black; Gloria's issues with coming out to her parents; and even Virgil's issues with his dad.

I mean, there was so much they could have went into, but didn't and instead they tried to make it just a bunch of weird comedic moments which usually didn't do well.

Much less, the whole issue of Wade and Grace dating a year and her not telling anyone seemed to be blown over a bit too quickly. I mean really, her dressing up as a school girl and all that really makes the fact she acted like she was shamed of you go that quickly? She redid your whole home just to hide your presence!

Simon was a thief. As to the other problems in the family true it was not dealt with indepth but I do enjoyed it.

I was soooo glad this was not a drama! Im sick of movies especially black movies where they always have to fix it! Lets just have a silly family for once and leave it at that! No tears, no sobbing, we see that all the time! Tired of the moral of the day! The movie reminded me of my wife and kids. Just plain stupid and that's what i love!

As Jerry Sienfeld said, "No hugging, no learning." There's nothing wrong with a movie or tv show being just funny and entertaining.

I'm so glad this wasn't a "dramedy", I like to laugh, there's enough drama in real life...
