I'm white

...and as formulaic and unoriginal as this film seems (meet the black parents), I applaud that it has even been made--there are very few black films made and Tyler Perry knows how to cash in on an under-represented demographic. Period. Oh and lets face it, nearly every movie out there is, by default, a white movie. The only big-time filmmakers who are equal opportunity casters are the Wachowskis (Matrix trilogy, Cloud Atlas). I am shocked to see all the idiotic posts by white folks concerning this film--your comments speak volumes at very high volume about how in touch you really are.

Very well said. Everything you just said is 100% completely true. People are so hard on Tyler Perry (I know I have been guilty of that as well) but the hate towards him hasn't done anything to hurt his bank account. Tyler Perry is just trying to represent a group of people who are under represented just like you said. Anyone who is socially conscious knows that minorities in Hollywood are completely under represented.

Do you want a medal because you're a white person who decided to watch a black film? I'm sure no one cares. IF anyone does care, they are simple minded. Black people don't need your white approval on movies that feature them. Get over yourself. You could have written a review and left your race out of it.

I'll take a medal. And I never said I was interested in seeing this film. You're a moron.
