Was Elam OK before the bear claw? It seemed like he was healing but he was still himself. Once they decided to pull the bone out of his brain it seemed it damaged his brain and he was never himself again. Moral of the story? Never pull schrapnel out of someone head unless you have any idea of what you are doing

Makes senses. Fevers over 106 began to cause brain damage.

I wonder if Two-Squaw hadn't told Elam about this "big magic" business, maybe fewer lives would have been lost. Including Two-Squaw's.

Was so disappointed in his end. I was really looking forward to him swaggering around Cheyenne with an eye patch looking like a badass
