spoiler--durant's future

I'm sure i missed something---who shot durant ???

They bid me take my place among them In the halls of Valhalla, where the brave may live forever.

Nobody. He died of natural causes in NY state in 1885. Had lost a lot of money (Panic of 1873...the first big stock market crash...) and got sued a lot...

Durant remained the same irascible character the rest of his life. He started other rail ventures, made and lost fortunes.

He didn't go to jail over the transcontinental railroad.

That's more than likely what happened to him in real life....i'm talking about on the show....3 or 4 episodes before the Finale, there was an opening scene of Durant, wearing a goatee or beard, at his desk...someone, they showed feet only, walked into the room, a shot, and Durant's arm slumps off the table....or was it his twin ???

The wind blew open the door, and he coincidentally died of natural causes.

You can interpret it that the Grim Reaper opened to door to come for him.

"You can interpret it that the Grim Reaper opened to door to come for him."

My thought was that it symbolized his soul leaving but I guess it could go either way.

Looked like he had a heart attack or stroke. Door just opened for dramatic effect. It was unessacary. I will go back to look for feet though. But doubt i missed that.
