the title (spoilers)

The title seems inappropriate to me. What does Cupid (a mischievous Roman god) have to do with a departed spirit who talks about heaven and becomes an angel at the end? The latter part fits in with a Christmas theme, but the name Cupid does not, even though the ghost wins her wings by getting the couple together. It mixes up two different holidays.

well I guess the "cupid" in the title refers to the person who got the couple together- although traditionally the name cupid is asscoiated with the gods etc these days it is also used to refer to someone who is a matchmaker/gets two people into a romantic relationship- so I am guessing that is what they are refering to here

I interpreted it as Ashley Benson's character was meant to help change Sloane's way of living which included her having a boyfriend that loved her and that was where the Cupid part came in

It was initially titled "X-Mas Carol" but they changed it. Maybe they thought people would be offended by taking the Christ out of Christmas but it was supposed to be a take on "EX" as in ex-boyfriends. So....anyway, yeah, they changed it after shooting was complete. Not really sure why.
