Is this series still making new episodes?

My toddler loves this show, and I love Marty Short as the cat so as a parent I can't complain either. Does anyone know if they are still making new episodes? I noticed they only made a few new ones this year. We have our DVR recording the episodes and I'm waiting for something new to watch with him as opposed to the same old ones...

Doesn't look like it. It's no longer on the morning schedule and moved to the afternoon.

It would seem that it ended last year.
It's a pretty good cartoon, and I love Martin Short...he's always awesome.
There's just something fundamentally odd to me about it. Like, Dr. Seuss was essentially all about imaginative silliness and dreaming up fantastical stuff. The basis of this show is kind of a straightforward presentation of wildlife science for kids. What possessed them to use the Cat in the Hat as the guide? He's a beloved classic character, yes, but since when was he a particular expert on Earth's creatures? xD They applied the twist not unskillfully, though. The Seussian artistic style, the inventive and rhyming language, the Cat's personality (fun-loving, go-getting, knowledgeable, instructive, optimistic, dramatic, etc.) are all there. It just seemed like a weird mix to me. Seussian characters have imparted many important morals, but were never before recruited to teach wildlife biology.

One of my main problems was Mr. Krinklebein--why is he simply called "Fish" instead of his name?! Why is his voice such the polar opposite of what it should be (reminds me of Snow Miser's voice in the Miser Brothers' Christmas special--aaaargh! I wanna be a casting director for animation and seek out folks who can do decent impressions of original actors who're no longer available.) I love Krinklebein from the original Cat in the Hat cartoon--deep-voiced, serious, and cranky. Here he's little more than a sidekick on the trips, supplementing the Cat's information just because he's a 'Cat in the Hat' character and they didn't want to leave anyone out. :/

And as much as I love Martin Short...as much enthusiasm and spirit as he lends to the Cat here...to me, the truest, purest depiction of the Cat on film will always be the original cartoon, and The Cat in the Hat Gets Grinched.
