There was a scene when the guy was filming his girlfriend perform oral sex on him, in the plane seat, with other passengers around, and the flight crew were like 'hey, don't do that' in a very blahzay fashion and then carried on with their rounds. At that point I knew this film was gonna be silly.

Anyway, I agree with that scene being dumb. I just don't think its right to judge a movie based on one dumb scene. Specially with today's films hollywood put out.

You are allowed to bring guns in your suitcase if you check it in and unload it. You just are not allowed to bring them as a carry on.

That's most likely how they would have handled it in real life. Chances are few if any of the other passengers noticed what was going on but if the FAs made a big deal of it then everyone's attention would have been on the couple. Plus there is no way for the FA to know how the party will react. It's much easier to get people to behave with a little levity then it is with forcefulness.
