Who dropped the ball on the ending?

I was more horrified by the ending than the entire rest of the movie. Did they run short of money? Were they fresh out of ideas? Did the production crew walk out the door?

The green-screen was so cheesy, it looked like the last 60 seconds was an afterthought. And what happened to the giant fire that was supposedly taking place in the background?

I really hope they consider a re-release with a better executed conclusion. This sequel had so much potential, but then they go and ruin at the last minute it for no reason :-/

ah, I was just about to come here and say the same thing! For a STV release, I was very impressed with this film up until I saw that green screen ending. You'd think with a $4,000,000 budget they'd be able to accomplish more than that, especially considering most of the film takes place in one set location...

Are you talking about the final moment, with the infected cat escaping and a cut to the Las Vegas skyline? I thought that was creepy and effectively done, even though it was also kind of predictable. What did you want to see ... the cat wandering through Bellagio?

Essex9999, I think they`re talking about the `Green Screen` that movie maker use where they film an actor in front of a green screen and add a background in later. It looked awful and your idea of the cat wandering through Bellagio would have been a massive improvement. I`d love to hear more of your alternative film endings.

you can clearly see a huge smokestack behind the kid so the fire is addressed. i was actually expecting the camera to pan or at least show a shot of what was left of the airport but i guess they wanted to be cool or couldnt afford to show that or something.

but as far as the green screen, sure it was obvious but its no worse than most theatrical big budget movies.

I really didn't even notice the green screen, but then again, I do get out of the house a lot these days.

The green screen effect is noticeable but it isn't enough to keep me off foot. If a simple problem like that managed to ruin your fun throughout the whole session, then I've guessed you shouldn't be seeing older movies then, especially the 1980's Airplane. Beside, this sequel was direct to video only, and featured a small 4 million dollar budget by films standard. But hell, kids. Always gotta get fancy and never considered the bigger side of things.

I thought the ending was fine. The original saw everyone die, so having someone survive here felt necessary. And the cat left room for the possibility of a sequel
