OMG!

Seriously an amazing movie! I cannot believe just how amazing this is! and it appals me that this is based on a true story, why? because the movie probably didn't show things that really happened...things worse than what was shown....but it's a VERY inspiring movie!!!! definitely one of my top top favorites!!!

Yes, this is a very good movie! I'm glad that I got to see it. Very inspiring!

It was very well done. The children did very well. It sounds like you've had some similar experience?

Surely you can't be serious.

Very inspiring movie. I teach middle school in the public school system. Our textbooks are over 12 years old and are in shambles. Next year we will probably have 30 children per classroom due to a freeze in hiring. Behaviors are horrible. We have to teach so the kids will pass the State Tests. This movie was refreshing. Maybe I will go to school more inspired tomorrow!

I wanted to see this movie because of Emily VanCamp, and the story looked interesting. I'm still watching it right now, and it's a very great film. So touching and beautiful.

Yep, as an 11-year veteran teacher in the Arizona public schools, can't say that this school surprised me very much.

There are a lot of teachers out there putting themselves on the line for kids like these whose stories will probably never be told. Stacey Bess is the rule, not the exception.

We need all the inspirational movies like these we can get, because education will never receive the funding or support in this country it deserves. Keep telling these kinds of stories, Hallmark!

? So then why, even after I voted for this movie, does IMDb list no vote yet, saying that that's because IMDb hasn't received five votes yet?

reply

^imdb always says that for new films or tv shows... it's a glitch.

It was refreshing to see good kids that are just in bad situations. I am so tired ofthese movies where the kids are insanely disrespectful. I find kids In that age group are more eager to please.

Also. I wish people knew that good teachers go out of pocket alot.

i have a friend who is a teacher -- this is way before Hurricane Katrina destroyed A LOT schools..anyway she was a Science teacher and a P.E. teacher as well (she taught in her first year 4th grade) it was a public school in a very poor and dangerous location-- she had children in her P.E. class that shoes that had holes in them, and/or the bottom of the shoes were torn exposing their feet and toes(i mean we get horribly hot weather down here and our fall-winters are very cold at times-no snow but still the ground, grass, rain, etc gets very cold for their little feet)Anyway, my point is that my friend bought tennis shoes for every child that needed them (money out of her pocket), she also started a program in the school's parish letting other ppl aware of problems..so she had parents whose kids didn't even go to the school to donate money for shoes and/or buy them; it didn't stop there she also had the ppl in the parish donating coats, clothes, money donations, etc etc..she really cared for these children it is her passion to teach but also make sure the children were taken care of. She also became a coach bc she fought for the school to have a volleyball team and other sports as well..We need more teachers w/passion like my friend and the teacher this movie is about. I think teachers should be paid more, its sad how much they get paid each year..sorry so long.

I made a point to watch it when it aired tonight, but I forgot about it until it had only 30 minutes left. I wish they would do an encore showing after, or even better, post it on iTunes. The Lifetime movies always are available on iTunes, so why not the Hallmark movies?
