I enjoy movies about inspirational teachers motivating their students. I think it's because I'm a burnt out ex-sub. Anyway, I wanted to share some movies with my daughter, so this month we watched "To Sir, with Love," then saw "Stand and Deliver." Anyway, I had no idea this movie was going to be shown this month, but it fit right into what we were watching and we discussed its content and values. Thank goodness for teachers like these. I finally had enough, but I have to give a lot of credit to those instructors who stick it out and inspire the children in their charge.

I haven't seen this movie yet but just by reading the plot summary it reminds me of "Not One Less". It's a Chinese movie, so it might not be everyone's cup of tea but I thought it was pretty inspirational.

Freedom Writers is an outstanding movie, as well as Front of the Class, which is also a Hallmark movie.

Another great movie is "The Ron Clark Story" starring Matthew Perry.

What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

You should watch Front Of The Class it is a great teacher movie but also just a good one to show about overcoming obstacles. And Treat Williams is in that one too along with some other Everwood cast member so it could start a new theme for ya. ;)

This is one of the most overdone basic plots in Hollywood. There's Dangerous Minds, The Dead Poets Society and Coach Carter to name three.
