Pilot not picked up by Fox...too bad.
It looks like the show is dead as Fox passed on the project...too bad, i would've liked to see Jeanine Mason in a series

shareI like the cast very much but I never saw this a show that FOX would do.
Plus, Roberts doesn't need to star in a TV series. Her film career is doing just fine.
However, I wish Karyn Usher would stop getting jerked around by the network and I wish TV networks would turn failed TV pilots into TV movies or miniseries.
A wish of mine is the return of drama anthologies like in the '40s and '50s. TV networks could use drama anthologies to air TV pilots and have viewers vote on their fave episode after being asked which one would you like to follow the characters in a regular TV show.

Interesting idea. I know Fox is trying event mini series/limited series, the return of 24 for example. Perhaps they could have turned the pilot for this show into a limited series and adapted the first book, with the option of a second series the following year.
shareAs much as I loved the book series, I have to admit that I'm glad they passed on it. I honestly think it would work better as a movie trilogy then a weekly show. Plus like someone else said it didn't seem like a Fox show anyway more like CW and ABC Family.

is it possible that they could just put it on the shelf and wait for the spring season next year and premiere it then or even next fall?
I mean I'm not super excited about it being shoved into a show format I would much rather see it as a movie trilogy especially hearing about some of the changes they made but I am just trying to look at options

Maybe but by then it will be possible that the cast would have moved on to other things. They said something like that about the Selection as well, they thought it would be picked up last season and tried again for this season but it still wasn't picked up. I'd rather hold up for a movie, that would be better. And I have to be honest I think Emma Roberts, would be a perfect actress to center a movie franchise around.

yeah I think a movie franchise would have been better because how I understand tv shows and filming they would have to shell out 20,000 or more dollars an episode and always have the possibility of noone watching but with a movie they would definately bring in a bigger audience and only have to pay one big amount

But since Fox owns the rights, doesn't it mean that there won't be a movie either? Or week Fox sell the rights? I want wild about the cast AT ALL but I still would like to see it adapted.
shareI think once they past on the pilot, they no longer own the rights to it. I think Emma would have been a good Lena.
shareNot really. It's like a show being cancelled, once it's cancelled another network can pick it up.
"Don't they know they're making love to one already dead?!"

Fox ordered Delirium and passed and the CW ordered The Selection and passed. This seems stupid. Delirium should be on the CW and The Selection should be on ABC Family... Let's remedy this mistake... Someone with a say? Please?!
