Ok.
It's not revolutionary.
However, the acting all round is excellent, the chemistry is real and Jennifer Garner is funny.
It's a fabulous family film. It lives and binds and celebrates family without being too serious or soppy about it.
Never mind the film-making, this is what these films are all about;
Watch it with your family and listen to the sound of love bubble up on your own.
Good stuff.
Too clean. It would have gained alot by the occasional f-bomb tirade like Chevy Chase in National Lampoons Vacation. Carrell could have pulled it off.

Agreed. It made a profit and 75% of IMDb raters gave it 6 or above. That's pretty good for a move that was about a lot of negative experiences, which risks annoying an audience, or making them uncomfortable. I think Steve and Ed were effective in making the movie succeed, though a little bit in spite of itself.
