This show is so good! Hope the remake fails..

I'm from France and I just discovered that brilliant show. Its so well written and acted that it is now a favorite of mine. But again , the US is remaking it! Why? We in France are happy to watch the original version , why cant the Americans accept the original version?! It reminds me of the great French show "The returns" brilliant acting and writing , the US did their version "resurrection" and it feels bland in comparaison. I wish the US were more open minded to the great shows that are made outside the US.

Americans refuse to read subtitles. I go to foreign films all the time but I am the exception. I agree with u, but most Americans believe the rest of the world should bend to their needs, including speaking English.

I love this show too but I don't wish that on the remake... I have mixed feelings about it but to be fair they are not the only ones remaking it. I'm willing to give it a chance because I like the cast, I just hope that the show is better than what I saw on the trailer.

Or you can act like an adult and just enjoy this version and let others enjoy the remake while not bothering with it yourself. Just don't watch it if it bothers you so much, why waste time bitching about it?

I enjoy the American show. - I didn't know it was a remake, honestly. I am American and I have watched The Returned and loved it...but I've never watched Resurrection. :) We are not all closed-minded. I agree with another comment that a lot of people don't like to read subtitles. Not to mention, Hollywood is huge here and it's all about makin' money!

I will have to check out this original.

I'm enjoying both the American and original Catalan versions. And I'm American, watching the Catalan series with subtitles. Though I'm beginning to prefer the Catalan version more, I do still enjoy the American version and actually think that some of the changes made are interesting, though I certainly do NOT think they all improve on the original.

Please don't make sweeping generalizations based on nationality. There are some of us who try to be more open-minded.

I love the American version and hate that it got canceled way too soon. Only one season (13 episodes)! I wanna see more! Curious about the french version. Never heard of it before until I heard about the American version.

It's not French, it's in Catalan but they showed it in France. Trust me you need to check out the original, it's miles better and more grounded in reality then the American version. I have respect for all involved in the remakes but once you see the original two seasons, see these kids grow up,cry with them and follow them through their journey you just can't understand why they ever believed they could make a better version...
