Great film but marred by poor narration

Fantastic documentary - particularly the insight into the crazy mind of the drivers and their families: "There's a good chance we will die but at least we die doing what we love."
What I found incredibly annoying was Jared Leto's narration. He read like a 14-year old work experience student at a radio station. It also seemed that he did the narration without seeing the film - the narration seemed completely out of place and his tone and emphasis was off. I don't know whether they film makers wanted to add a big Hollywood name to their film but that has backfired in my opinion.
