Not a BN fan, but love Bruce. Should I watch?

As a devout Bruce Campbell fan, I was thrilled when Burn Notice first aired. An opportunity to see Ash kick ass week to week! And I'll admit, I watched the entire first season of BN and actually liked it. Mostly, because of Bruce, but also thought Michael was one cool cat, and Fiona was sexy and had a lot edge. That said, as time went on, the sheer stupidity of the voice overs and plot devices began to drive me insane. I swear, no matter what the situation - however bizarre - it felt like Michael had a relevant chapter from a "Spy: For Dummies" textbook that he would read to the audience.

I don't mind silly, and I'm not one to enforce realism. Like I said, I love Bruce Campbell so that should prove that. BN just wore thin on me. But a standalone TV movie surrounding Sam exclusively... I could see that being highly enjoyable.

I guess my question is to Bruce Campbell fans, whether or not they're BN fans. Is the film enjoyable, and how similar is it to the TV show? Is it campy in a classic, straight to VHS Bruce Campbell sense, or in a USA show about awesome people in suits sense?

OT: I stopped watching Burn Notice somewhere along season 2. Has the show evolved much since, in terms of style and devices? Just curious... I may give it another chance down the road.

You sound like as big a fan of his as I am lol. Even though you don't watch the show the movie does showcase Bruce's unique brand of everyman acting that we've come to know and love so on that level you're sure to enjoy it.
