Saw on Netflix. Loved it. Pissed off it's cancelled.

When I started this show I noticed there was only one season on Netflix and I thought, "Well I better not get into this if it's already over in one season." So I looked it up and Wikipedia refers to it in the present tense, even here on IMDb it reads (2010- ) so I got tricked into thinking it wouldn't just cut off after one season (Netflix is often about 2 seasons behind).

So now I'm sad. Gone like so many shows before. I'm guessing all the Firefly and Terra Nova references because it's just like a Fox 1 season cancellation.

Sure there were some flaws. But I'm not so cynical. I think the show really picked up and got better and better. If you look at some of the most successful series in history the first seasons often are terrible. Star Trek: TNG is legendary for having mediocre to bad episodes the first few seasons. The Simpsons was awful season 1. While some series can pick up and then last forever, some burn out too fast. This one didn't seem to be that way. It had some potential staying power and I enjoyed every episode.

There should be some kind of icon for cancellation anywhere, Netflix, IMDb, whatever. Maybe a little "This'll break your heart" icon as well so you can steer clear not to get into shows that get cancelled too soon.

Well, there are a few hints here that hint at some of the things that would have happened had the series continued. http://www.denofgeek.com/tv/outcasts/20784/exclusive-what-would-have-h appened-next-in-outcasts
While the series clearly had major problems its a pity it was canceled as early as it was.
And the reason it was cancelled, the new boss disliked it, not because of poor ratings which would at least been justifiable.
The decision to kill it seemed to have been made even before it aired.

That reminds me of the show "New Amsterdam" which was purchased by Fox, and then cancelled before it ever aired, but they had about 13 episodes already made so they advertised for the show, and then aired the episodes, but never had any intention of getting more episodes.

I was thinking. One part I kind of missed was getting a little bit of British culture out of the show I wouldn't mind trying something else where some of the characters pronounce "something" with an "f". :)
