I DID!!! Never saw 'Hitman' (and don't plan to) so I don't understand the comparisons. Honestly the only reason I watched this is because of John Malkovich (who in my opinion can do no wrong). He is a magnificent actor- loved him since 'Dangerous Liasons.'
While this is a semi-violent film, there are deep (family) values present and adhered to by the "criminal" villagers.

I have found the're some that post here who need their hand held through a story. I liked this movie even with the jumps in the timeline. I stayed with it and found the story to be interesting. Had this movie been told in a linear fashion, I don't think it would have held up as well.
