I whould still say its a great game but there would be alot of stupid people out there that would of thought the game is the worse movie ever made just becuase how it ended. Just like what happened with the movie Buried.

I actually thought that was going to happen for a minute. I knew as soon as Isaac sent Ellie away on the ship that she'd come back to save him. But when he sat down and the credits started to appear in the corner, a small part of me thought I could of been wrong.

I felt the Ellie ending was very cliched and would have much preferred an ending where it fades to black, with Issac dying.
I love the character of Issac, and that's why the fade to black ending would be the better of the 2 - because it would make you feel, it would have an impact on you because you wouldn't want him to die. It would have made the game even better than it was. I felt rather dissapointed after seeing Ellie save him, it was typical and cliche.
It's not typical and cliche at all. The "downer" ending is used just as often as the rescue one is.
Had Isaac died, the game would be lesser for it.

Personally the ending was perfect for me. When the credits started to role i actually thought it was going to end, and i wouldn't have minded had it. But then we wouldn't have the "what?" moment and that pretty much did it for me :)

Nope. Would hate it. I think after the sad ending of the 1st game, Isaac deserves a little bit of a cheering. And this ending just fits the bill. To see that his effort wasn't for naught and he came out alive was gratifying and part of what makes this 2nd game enjoyable.

The first time I played this and he slumped to the groun I was like, "Oh hah very funny Isaac get up", then the credits started to roll and I was like, "Isaac what the *beep* are you doing man! Get the *beep* up!". When Ellie appeared I jumped off the sofa and played the last few moments of the game stood up lol! If it had just ended I would have been very angry!

Plus we would have missed the funny ending where isaac looks at ellie expecting to see some monster and she say "what?'
