The chapter in which Isaac sets foot on the Ishimura again is probably my favourite gaming moment ever. I was pretty freaked out seeing those same corridors and rooms again, and they keep you in suspense by not sending any necromorphs your way until you're well into the ship. Those first minutes on the ship were pure genius in my opinion, the lighting(!), the eerie silence and absence of music, the design of the CEC sheets and tools covering that awful place you once knew so well. The game is a masterpiece, quite frankly.

This was a great part of the game, i wouldn't put it on the same level as the return to Shadow Moses in MGS4, but still a great idea.

ya know i was hoping someone would bring up shadow moses, best part of that game honestlyimo. i picked up mgs4 at the launch date and i remember playing it and how cheated i felt durin the story, (everything cool of the mgs universe is now only because of naomi campbell and her nanotechnology, biggest cop out ever Kojima...) but the return to the Ishimura...man, you can't beat that dead silence the programmers provided us as we went down those familiar halls.

I am sick of these *beep* Unitologists on this *beep* Planet Cracker!

I wasnt too freaked out by the prospect of returning to the ship, infact I was quite nonchalent. That is, untill I saw the USG Ishimura's name on the hull of the ship. Did anyone else look over the side of the walkway for Peng just in case?

i looked for peng!!!!!!!!

i was expecting a lot more flashbacks though from the first one.
eg in the first one were Isaac was sent to to a diagnostic, then Kendra and the rest were attacked in the flight lounge, i was expectng a flassback of that in DS2....

but *beep* me sideways that capter in DS2 was a bitch!!!!!!!!
