Noma became known as the world's best restaurant after and because El Bulli closed.
shareNow, I'm voting for the Fat Duck, in terms of Best Restaurant on the face of the planet. Not like I've ever eaten there or El Bulli, but I have watched a lot of presentations by Heston B. and I love his attitude and experimentation. He is all about the whole nine yards. Flavor, texture, presentation.
I also really wanted to see this show but haven't found it yet. One acquaintance who is a consummate chef didn't care for the documentary but loves the restaurant. Or did, since as has been pointed out, it is closed now.
I would have gone to the Fat Duck as my first choice anyway. So it goes.
