So, Timmy wasted his life

All the years watching Fairly Odd Parents I always thought Timmy would end up being a better person and having a better life that if he never had Cosmo and Wanda.
Sure he is not a genious, he would not have the best job, but I thought he would end up being like in the final scene of Channel Chasers.

And this movie totally destroys that. besides all the reasons mentioned why he would not be still in 5 grade, the implications are terrible
Even if at the end of the movie he started studying properly, it would take him a year to learn all high-school(I guess), then entering college, what college would accept him??? and even if he finish college, he would be like 29 or 30,
WHAT COMPANY WOULD HIRE HIM? seeing in his resume that he was 13 straight years in fifth grade?

He would only have minimum wage jobs for the rest of his life, or worst.

reply

No... just no to all of that. If someone met all the requirements for a job position, they're going to look at how he did in College and what degree he has. Not how long he spent in the fifth grade. Albeit, if he applied for a job in the FBI, or the CIA, they will look that far back and, odds are good, they'll ask why and he probably won't get the job. But that doesn't mean he's stuck with a minimum wage job.

Timmy's dad in the cartoon is revealed to have never graduated past 5th grade either in the episode Old Man and the C- yet he holds a pencil pusher job.

The FOP world should never be equated with real life.

that´s one of the many reasons this movie sucks, they borught FOP to real life

So, peoples lives end when they become 30?!?!?!? Some people start college later in life, even in their 60s-70s. it is never late to start over, and a life is never wasted.

Timmy lived the life he thought was best for him. I always knew he would do whatever he could to be with wanda and cosmo, they were the best thing in his life. If he wants to move forward he can get a GED, and go to college.

But anyway its a cartoon and real life logic doesnt really apply. lol

Why the hell does he need a college degree to fly around the world in a brightly colored van with his girlfriend and fairies granting wishes to help people?
