Hey, wait a minute...

. At the end of Channel Chasers, Cosmo and Wanda were Timmy's kids' fairies and Timmy didn't remember Cosmo and Wanda.... Is the movie Grow Up, Timmy Turner meant to be canon? Or kind of a standalone?

well, he hasnt had kids yet...

Yeah, I know, but at the end of this movie, the Timmy Turner loophole means that Timmy gets to keep and remember his fairies and his (wife?) Tootie also gets to know about their existence. So why would Cosmo and Wanda be passed down -- couldn't they be the whole family's fairies? And why doesn't Timmy remember them?

He doesn't remember them because Channel Chasers was made in 2004, long before this was made.

Remember, part of the Timmy Turner loophole is that he has to make wishes ONLY for others. One possibility is he breaks that part of the rule and ends up losing his fairies.

The word "genius" isn't applicable in football. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein.

Or, he makes a wish to give his fairies to his kids and that would make him have his memory erased.

I really don't think the writers of this crap pile were considering the end of Channel Chasers when they made this.

TEAM KELLERMAN - "And when they come for us... we're gonna take as many of them with us as we can."

reply

He could have willingly given up his fairies so that his kids could have him, as that fits the theme of "unselfish wishing".

Have we all forgotten the words of the great Emmett L. Brown?

"Your future is what you make it!"

The Timmy in Channel Chasers thought it WAS a possibility that he will lose them when he grows up, so his future self DID lose them.
Grow Up's Timmy obviously didn't forget, and therefore, didn't lose them.

This movie can actually work with the Channel Chasers epilogue if you include this scenario:

The first movie allows Timmy to indefinitely keep his god parents. At the end of the 3rd movie, Timmy becomes a fairy, so Casmo and Wanda are reassigned. However, it turns out that Timmy's magic is only temporary, and once they wear off, he becomes human again. Therefore, he no longer has god parents, and both he and Tootie have to have their memories erased just like any other kid that outgrows their god parents. Years later, Timmy and Tootie's kids, Tammy and Tommy, get Casmo and Wanda.
