I'm surprised noone has mentioned this yet.

It seems like most of the discussions here about the subject matter always turn religious but I'm surprised noone has mentioned the issues that have come up with "sexting" as well as the nature of the internet. People have had their jobs and their lives ruined by this sort of thing and, the internet being what it is, this sort of thing floats around FOREVER.

I'm not expecting the movie to bring this up (and it'll be interesting to see what happens the first time the people in a sexting incident say they got the idea from this movie) but I'm kinda surprised that, with all the discussions where people are discussing the moral/theological issues surrounding this movie, noone has discussed any of the more practical aspects of what's going on in this film that can actually haunt your life/career.

Yes...this is so true.

And here is another noodle-scratcher to consider....if this movie fails, it will forever haunt the careers of everyone in it.

White cat. Black cat. Who cares as long as it catches mice?

Fixed.

Sexting? There's a new one. A portmanteau of sex and texting?

reply

Sorry, but that term has been around for a while now. Actually used in the media and everything.

reply

How would he know that? He properly used the word portmanteau in a sentence without irony.

reply

Maybe it's me, but I wouldn't care.

If somebody really annoyed me about something embarrassing shown online I'd have the right to hit them in the face.....problem solved.

Who cares about religion. what about legality? Filming sex without consent and distributing it? come on. How is ANYONE supposed to identify with the main characters. they are jerks. I'd rather watch a movie that tries to humanize terrorists who are also pedophiles and republicans (you know, 3 different things without any human characteristics)!
