Let's talk Spoilers and Wikipedia

So found the trailer from a favorite movie site www.slashfilm.com and was immediately intrigued. This is the plot information from Wikipedia:

*SPOILERS*

"An engaged couple goes to Georgia and decide to hike in the Caucuses. They hire
a local guide and tour the scenery. A chance encounter with armed peasants causes an incident where the man comes off as a coward, leading to a fracture in the relationship and driving his fiancée into the arms of their guide."

So, that's it? It's a story about a couple falling out of love in their current surroundings and she falls for another? And this goes on for 110 minutes?

Can people who have seen the movie attest to this? Is there anything more to it?

yeah pretty much. and even this description sounds sensational. the whole "incident" is rather uneventful and lasts for few minutes, followed by eternity of walking, silence etc. all this "shame" thing (i didn't even notice it) etc. is implied never said... could have been a great short. also, very good performance by the actress and the guide person

"At the midpoint of the film, two men stumble upon the couple’s camp, and after exchanging heated words with Dato, the older of the two men raises his AK-47 and points it at the young lovers. Alex, in a flash of instinct, pushes Nica between himself and the gun before immediately recognizing his mistake and stepping back in front of her."

It's all relative. Da important thang is 2 not take it too seriesly. Ie, our govt pass dis sequester dat nobody wanna take effect, so why pass it? R they all retardz? It's obamas seq so is he a retard? U prolly voted 4 him, so dat wud make u a retard. Well, if u voted 4 da other guy, he's an even mo retarded retard makin u a big retard. Of course there's more to the film than that. The film is about the couple's relationship; how it was before the incident and how it is afterwards. Nica isn't quite driven into the arms of the guide but I found her reaction post-incident, which was traumatic, to be sad. She really needed her fiancee to be there for her and because she couldn't rely on the trust that existed before she turned to their guide Dota for small things. There was no romance between them as that outline suggests.

How successful the film is regarding the portrayal of a relationship using unspoken subtleties and metaphor/symbolism is another matter. It worked for me.
