Collection finally coming. Get it on DVD or Blu-Ray? What's different?

I own the original series on DVD and besides the first few episodes of BOOK 1 its absolutely brilliant. But Korra was a lot more high-def. But would the DVD Collection be as top-graded or be lower in quality and therefore should I stick with getting the Blu-Ray if possible? Or is it really the same and there's not that much difference? Plus the DVD Boxset would be cheaper too. Decisions, Decisions...

If you want quality, stick to Blu Ray.

I believe the blurays have more bonus features. If that interests you, go for it. Otherwise, the dvds are good.

Yeah, I think they have... more commentaries? I'm not totally sure what the differences is. If I recall correctly the DVDs still look good but for this series I would have gotten the Blu Ray if I had a blu ray player.

reply

Yeah. I own the dvds, and they look great.

Ah, that is what I wanted to hear. So they DO look great even on DVD.

Okay. Yeah, I'm not too fused about Commentaries for shows lol. So getting the DVD Collection would be better and cheaper for me lol. Cheers.

Do you mean the original series? The original series DVD looks decent, but nowhere near the quality of the HD episodes of Korra. Bluray all the way, and the price difference isnt that big these days.

The original series looks noticeably softer and has aliasing issues at times too. Get the bluray for the Korra series if you can!

Personally hoping the original series gets remastered
