Plse Help with a Synopsis (SPOILERS)

I really want to see this film because i am a big fan of James Cromwell. That said, I cannot handle war films. Very rarely, if i know the whole plot, I can watch (example- Three Kings). Would you help by giving me a plot synopsis/ run down of this film?thanks for your help.
