$4.2M budget?
IMDB has the budget at $4.2M. If accurate, a whole lot of movie got made for very little money. Too bad it was never really marketed or released to theaters considering all the weekends with nothing to watch at the cineplex.
shareI bet that in WW2 scenes, there were many re enactors playing americans and germans. Those guy do it for free.

The credits did list a lot of guys as WW2 Re-enactors, so you are correct. Also it was fairly obvious that several of the battle locations (Namely the Iraqi locations) were the same sets shot from different angles.
Excellent job for such a tiny budget. Especially for having an Actor of Cromwell's status. A lot of these Indie films get big stars for little budget because the stars themselves believe in the film and it's message, not for the "job" of it.
