INSPIRED TO DONATE TO BAND AID?

INSPIRED TO DONATE TO BAND AID?

Is it only me who thinks that such a programme should have suggestions for ways to donate at the end?

I searched for Band Aid Donations and found a frustrating tour of the web only resulting in a metaphorical banging of my head against the wall. Not a great legacy, when the message throughout and the massive efforts of those involved in the wonderful projects inspired by Bob's passion, was to "Give us your ****ing money!"

All the sites I viewed made little or no effort to suggest how someone might send money to help the millions who are still starving around the world. Crazy, in my view.

For anyone else who wants to respond by giving your money. I sent mine to:

I thought When Harry Met Bob was great.

I don't think Band Aid is still a functioning charity that you can donate to so the one you suggest is a good umbrella charity to use. I think the legacy of Live Aid was that it opened the doors to fundraising on a huge scale through popular culture and television right up to the current Comic/Sports Relief Charity. And it did succeed in setting up many long term African projects, but of course there is still plenty to do.

I too thought the film was done very well.

"Oh, my God, Alexander," she muttered incredulously

It doesn't help so much when those that should know better are on the take.

I really hope it isn't the case.
