The last cub

I'm absolutely certain the last cub died. Watch closely the end of the movie. It's so obvious they used old footage when the cub supposedly reunites with its mother and then after, you don't see him in the same shot with the pack of lions.
Why would they do that ? So people wouldn't be TOO sad ? So they would give more money ? So they could use their last shot of the "last lion" ?

And I thought this movie was awesome until that point. I am so disapointed. I mean, they make a point of telling stuff like it's the law of nature and all that, and then they just fake a revival.

Frankly, if they were gonna cheat the audience they could have intervened and saved one the cubs instead. Now THAT, I would not be upset about. And really, they could have saved the one with the broken back.

I'd like to know if at the point the mother was accepted in the pride, the male would've had accepted her cub. This is what the documentary (slash movie) was trying to convey..but I don't think it works like that. Heck, joining their pride was out of the question in the beginning because of that issue.

About the broken-back cub:
Just from what I saw you can not tell if the cub was irreversibly injured.

It might have been injured (like being stepped on) then the spinal "bruises" swallowing, then after some days, weeks everything can be FULLY working again

I run over my cat with the CAR, and 3 weeks was paralyzed from the "waist" down, but slowly BY ITSELF (no vets, nor medicine implied) she recovered, in 1 1/2 month was fully running, 2 1/2 was pregnant & later having kittens...

How do we know they didn't take care of the cub?
I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO KNOW IF THEY ABANDONED THE CUB, or after filming it, they took it to a shelter.
Anyone knows?

About the cub that re-apears
you can not know for sure what happened if it really died that night or got to run away & find the mother latter.
The film was edited in a way that you don't know what happened with one of the cubs.
So you have to trust what they say, you are not there and it's not an uncut footage...

It has been confirmed that the last cub survived to adulthood. The cub with the broken back died.
