A Pity This Great Film Wasn't Released Before Crappy Twilight.

Title speaks for itself.

Sadly English speaking countries don't always watch films in the cinema with subtitles aka "foreign" films. One movie fan said to me he would prefer to watch a film not to read one and if he wanted to read he'd buy a book.
I think this attitude is partly why the film didn't do so well abroad (outside of Germany and Austria) plus there was no advertising for it. It either didn't get a cinema release or even a DVD one.

I read that it was released in Germany the same week as one of the Twilight. Is this true? While it's so much better I would've tried for a head start on the Twilight franchise by at least a month.

Shame as it's one of the best vampire flicks in years. Nice to see the girls perpective too.

Apart from the vampire connection, this film and Twilight have virtually nothing in common.🐭

I agree but it was released in Germany the same week as Twilight and didn't do too well as a result.

That is incorrect.

Twilight Eclipse was released in Germany on July 15, 2010.

This movie was released on Halloween weekend, more than 3 months later. Both Red and Jackass 3D were released in Germany on the same day, but considering that WATN didn't even make the top ten at the box office in its first week, I doubt it mattered. For whatever reason, German audiences just weren't interested in seeing this movie, at all.

Thanks conduit-1 I didn't realise that. I did read somewhere that is was released at the same time as Twilight. Maybe if they could have released it before Twilight?
