Is the presentation of the story,
The exposition, which is undoubtedly drastically more interesting than the rest of the movie, should've been scattered throughout the movie, giving it to the viewer bit by bit and never fully revieling it before the main female character.
This exposition now is unnesesarry and makes the whole film much less interesting.
Also as stated before i also hate how the main couple is not together at the end, it is just silly.
