IMDb user ratings are a complete joke.

Why do people feel the need to rate movies so extremely? There's no way this movie is a 10 and there's no way it's a 1.

Because they're so self-centered they feel their vote need to have a bigger impact on the score.

the production company plants rate it a 10 (check the other reviewer's reviews, there probably aren't any), and the other production companies rate it a one to counter balance. it's just dumb.

Oh, you also get the fans and the protest votes, especially if people think the score is already too high or too low, but the way you tell if it's industry plants is to look at the distribution curve
