Definitely NOT the worst movie I've seen

I just caught this movie the other day and reviewed it on my website uzifish.com. I thought it was harmless fun, with some above average acting - Crystal Arnette was particularly good - and some nice cinematography (like in the fog-shrouded forest scenes). It definitely suffered from the low budget, and the rewrites were pretty clearly evident, trying to add the Stephen King angle to what would have been a pretty standard slasher. But I've seen some real stinkers and this movie doesn't count as one. If I was a thumbs guy, I'd give it a thumbs in the middle, leaning up.

Thank you Uzifish! I am glad you enjoyed YOU CAN'T KILL STEPHEN KING. I appreciate your thoughts. Thank you also for the cudos to Crystal. She is a very talented actress. All of the actors in the film (and the behind the camera folks) did a wonderful job to make this low budget horror parody look as professional as possible.

However, you were off target on one thing. The film ALWAYS had the Stephen King hook to it. The story came from Monroe Mann and Ronnie Khalil while they were staying at the lake house where the movie was filmed. They pondered a plot where the surrounding community wanted to "keep things quiet" all the time to placate their local celebrity. Another title for the script had been THE QUIET. Then came SHUSH OR DIE and finally the title you know the film by. I tried submitting something along the lines of STEPHEN KillING, but couldn't get anything to work.

Anyway, we have a delightful little movie. Fans of Stephen King will like it and fans of slasher films will LOVE it.

Thanks again for your support.

Not the worst, but still only a 3\10. They tried too hard to be cool, the film felt super forced and cliched. I appreciate you trying to put in Stephen King references, but even Stephen King can't make a good Stephen King film.
