Even though I know Aaron....
...I've known him for ages. We went to middle and high school and still have the occasional run-ins in the real working world. I know him and he knows me.
That being said, I had my gameface, and he had my vote from day uno. But when I saw the trailer, only two thought processes could cross my mind A.) This rubbed off as a shaken up bio-pic with names, faces, and places changed taken from his own experiences and encounters, and B.) the movie itself feels like a "launch pad" to get his friends and colleagues a boost to their careers.
The issue with A is it's too obvious, he could have picked a different setting and objective, and then there would've been a film.
The issue with B is again, it's too obvious. Every time I saw Devyn on camera, I could almost hear her yelling, "Look! I can act in mainstream film! Hire me for future projects, Hollywood!" If the dialogue was written so that the characters are focusing on the movie/story and not actors getting screen time, then there would've been a film.
Aaron's a great guy, he still has my vote, I hope he starts climbing the ladders, and getting material to work with because he is a legitimate go to guy for years to come. Smiling face.
