The sketch itself doesn't really reference anything in particular. Clearly it's just an awkward situation between Luke and the Wampa he dismembered in Episode V. But yes there are tones of Crash and Fargo and a few other things.
It has to be my favourite sketch. The timing and the acting in the animation of the Wampa is brilliant. It feels genuinely tragic-comic. It could easily stand alone as short film of its own.
The ambient, dark comedy of it reminds me mainly of the tv show Jam (2000) Warning : Some might find the comedy in this show disturbing and hilarious.
